Kids are great. I wish I had something extremely insightful to say about having kids, but the fact of the matter is that I am not a father yet. I am an uncle though, and a teacher and I love interacting with kids to see how their untrained minds comprehend situations. They see things in such an unbiased way that makes for a lot of fun, unless they heard you say something and then you are extremely embarrassed later (My sister-in-law claims that I am the culprit who taught her soon how to say "booger" haha). Conway, South Carolina is my home town and still close to the top of my favorite places to shoot in the whole world. There is just something about the way downtown feels and helps to convey the relaxed nature of the whole town. Though known as a college town, Conway is home to a lot more than just classrooms and sports arenas; it has a beautiful historic downtown area with a riverside boardwalk that makes for a wonderful location for photos!Read More
Family portraits are a staple for most households. As a photographer sometimes this genre can produce and eye roll and complete disinterest, but I soon correct myself with a quote I learned during my days as a dance instructor:
Though you may have done the basic step to the foxtrot a million times more than necessary, your partner may very well have never done it before; and if you only think about yourself, your partner may very well never do it again. With you at least.
