Jason and Jada are the kind of couple you can just take a glance at and say, “yeah, they deserve each other.” You can see for yourself. They are some of the most radiant and infectious people out there.Read More
Trisha + Pat, two newly engaged Myrtle Beach visitors, wanted their engagement photos to portray themselves in a place they enjoyed: the Market Common. This location has proven to be simple, yet diverse in all that it has to offer. Having little to no setup time, the Market Common is packed with photography gold, ranging from modern colorblocked walls to the natural serenity of Valor Park. On top of that, shots of warm brick, walls of ivy, column-and-lattice walkways, and flowing fountains offer stunning backdrops to couples of every kind, for any occasion. Located very near Surfside and Murrells Inlet, Trisha + Pat felt right at home in one of their favorite destinations nestled in the heart of the Grand Strand.Read More
Kids are great. I wish I had something extremely insightful to say about having kids, but the fact of the matter is that I am not a father yet. I am an uncle though, and a teacher and I love interacting with kids to see how their untrained minds comprehend situations. They see things in such an unbiased way that makes for a lot of fun, unless they heard you say something and then you are extremely embarrassed later (My sister-in-law claims that I am the culprit who taught her soon how to say "booger" haha). Well I had the extreme pleasure of photographing the Branfuhr family to help celebrate finding out what the gender of their soon to come addition would be.Read More
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is a very popular destination for family vacations, everyone knows that. Many families love capturing their vacation in family portraits taken on the beach. It doesn't have to be limited to family portraits though. Meet Becca. She is a rising senior who is very involved in her high school sports. She had a certain vision and I was very glad to help her out with it! I love when a client comes with an idea and also allows me to be creative to come up with something she likes. We ended up shooting under the Springmaid Pier and around The Market Common on the south end of Myrtle Beach. Enjoy!Read More
In this blog post I want to show you work that I have done for a local restaurant. This is one of my first ventures into commercial photography, but knowing how to use my camera is a good enough confidence booster to know that I can produce good images for what they were wanting. The client is Co Sushi, a new restaurant to the Myrtle Beach area, looking to expand their gallery of images that will be used in social media as well as possible print ads. They were looking for some images of the restaurant itself but mostly some good shots of their menu items.Read More
Street Photography is increasingly becoming one of my favorite pastimes and my location of choice for this series is Market Common.
I love the mixture of low country spacing and southern metropolitan architecture. The mixture of people this time of year is very nice too. Right before the troves of folks come in for spring break and summer breaks loose, there is about a 3-4 week period where the weather is gorgeous and the only people here to enjoy it are snowbirds who have spent their winter here and us locals. This is my favorite time to enjoy Myrtle Beach because everyone is out of hiding and the town looks halfway populated. Sure it takes a little longer to get to work but it's worth it to actually see people!Read More
