Some of the most beautiful things in life are small, intimate moments that only few bare witness. That was the case for the wedding of two joyous and loving people. A touching way to kick off the new year, Jill and Brady Stoever said their vows on the historic and scenic Conway River Walk in front of an audience of one: me. What the ceremony lacked in numbers, it was made up for in spirit and laughter.Read More
Laura and Jason's springtime ceremony was the perfect use of everything that Wildberry Farm has to offer. With a lovely pond-side ceremony and barn reception, the made the most of the beautiful weather. I think one of my favorite things about their decor were all of the floral arrangements; it just all spoke so much and made everything so lively. The southern charm used around everything from the meal to the croquet outside was just elegant in an inviting way that made the day just that much more specialRead More
I don't get out to shoot street photography nearly as often as I would like to, but it's a real treat to get out in the middle of people enjoying whatever it is that's going on. During times like Halloween make it even more fun, because everyone is out for a spectacle and you very rarely any other time year run into so many people who are trying to get their photo taken.Read More
Trisha + Pat, two newly engaged Myrtle Beach visitors, wanted their engagement photos to portray themselves in a place they enjoyed: the Market Common. This location has proven to be simple, yet diverse in all that it has to offer. Having little to no setup time, the Market Common is packed with photography gold, ranging from modern colorblocked walls to the natural serenity of Valor Park. On top of that, shots of warm brick, walls of ivy, column-and-lattice walkways, and flowing fountains offer stunning backdrops to couples of every kind, for any occasion. Located very near Surfside and Murrells Inlet, Trisha + Pat felt right at home in one of their favorite destinations nestled in the heart of the Grand Strand.Read More
This North Myrtle Beach bridal portrait session was simply magical! The beautiful scenery at The Surf Club made for an amazing evening as golden hour set in.
Heather found her dress at David’s Bridal and her grandmother made the beautiful flower arrangement for her bouquet. Heather and her fiancé Chris were also married at the Surf Club months later for a gorgeous spring ceremony over looking the golf course and ponds.
If you are looking for an amazing location in the North Myrtle Beach area, I highly suggest this wonderful venue!
This Myrtle Beach destination wedding at Breakers Resort created a magical day for Albert and Cheryl Rosa. In fact, Cheryl’s unique personality showed through with her handcrafted bouquet and use of a vintage car. It doesn’t stop there, as it is also sure to put a smile on your face when you realize their dog plays an important role in their bridal party.
Being one of the last events of my 2014 season, this beautiful Christmas time wedding was absolutely a blast. With all the fun that 2014 came with, it was wonderful to end on such a great note. At Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, the couple said their vows and had a wonderful reception that followed. My good friend, Pastor Jeff Dunn of Christ United Methodist Church officiated the ceremony and did a wonderful job with an emotional message that made everyone's hearts swell. I think my favorite moment was when he took the opportunity to charge the crowd with praying for the couple and their upcoming life together, then asked the couple to turn around and see all the hands raised of those willing to commit to helping strengthen the bond these two were creating. All in all a wonderful day and I think everything turned out beautifully.

Kids are great. I wish I had something extremely insightful to say about having kids, but the fact of the matter is that I am not a father yet. I am an uncle though, and a teacher and I love interacting with kids to see how their untrained minds comprehend situations. They see things in such an unbiased way that makes for a lot of fun, unless they heard you say something and then you are extremely embarrassed later (My sister-in-law claims that I am the culprit who taught her soon how to say "booger" haha). Well I had the extreme pleasure of photographing the Branfuhr family to help celebrate finding out what the gender of their soon to come addition would be.Read More
I love networking with people in my trade. It's wonderful to spend some time with like minded people who understand the struggles of the business and who appreciate the geeky talk about gear that we all either openly or secretly love. Gaining friends in this industry in necessary to properly grow. I love photo groups and meeting new people and those networking groups and events really have helped make new friends.Read More
South Carolina is home to a great number of State and private parks that allow you really enjoy nature in some of the most serene places we have to offer here in the palmetto state. One of those places is Myrtle Beach State Park. Just south of The Market Common and the end of Ocean Boulevard is a wonderful place to enjoy the beach in it's most natural state. No high rise hotels towering over one side or over crowded beaches, just great fun enjoying nature. There are great hiking and nature trails all throughout the property, not to mention the foliage and wildlife that you will see along the way.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is a very popular destination for family vacations, everyone knows that. Many families love capturing their vacation in family portraits taken on the beach. It doesn't have to be limited to family portraits though. Meet Becca. She is a rising senior who is very involved in her high school sports. She had a certain vision and I was very glad to help her out with it! I love when a client comes with an idea and also allows me to be creative to come up with something she likes. We ended up shooting under the Springmaid Pier and around The Market Common on the south end of Myrtle Beach. Enjoy!Read More
Everyone has a favorite place to stay in Myrtle Beach for vacation. Well Ocean Lakes is a place many call their favorite destination place when coming down on vacation. It's a gated community that allows the interior to be safe from traffic coming through as well as enjoying their private beach and family friendly facilities. Above all else though, many people enjoy time down on their own miniature version of the famed Myrtle Beach Boulevard. The preferred mode of transportation is golf carts and after dark every night, they all line up to play their music and have a good time riding around. Being a family friendly resort, nothing ever gets out of hand because there are just as many parents and small children as there are young adults and teenagers.Read More
Engagement photos are some of my favorite things in the whole world to shoot. I know that almost any blog post on a photographer's website could start that way but let me explain why:
I love engagement sessions because it's so easy to see the love between two people. I don't just mean the love that you see plastered all over bridal magazines and Pinterest, I mean the personal, hilarious and quirky love that every single couple shares, but is unique to every pair. I know that my wife and I have little things that make us crack up with a single word and every couple I have had the opportunity to shoot has always had something between them that you can just tell that no one else in the world knows.Read More
In this blog post I want to show you work that I have done for a local restaurant. This is one of my first ventures into commercial photography, but knowing how to use my camera is a good enough confidence booster to know that I can produce good images for what they were wanting. The client is Co Sushi, a new restaurant to the Myrtle Beach area, looking to expand their gallery of images that will be used in social media as well as possible print ads. They were looking for some images of the restaurant itself but mostly some good shots of their menu items.Read More
Myrtle Beach is home to all kinds of attractions for people to come visit; permanent places that sit empty when the crowds go home. Though there are plenty of places like that, there is always one type of entertainment that goes to the crowd: the traveling circus. Traveling circus troupes have been a tradition for hundreds of years in one way or another and it's nice to see such an old piece of history being honored even in today's busy digital world.

There are places all over Myrtle Beach that you can set your blanket but if you are not careful, you will have to pay out the nose to park your car trying to get there. In the downtown area, the resort section is littered with pay to park lots and parking meters. Most places will make you pay by the hour, but sometimes, you can get lucky and find a place that asks for $20 for the whole day. Though, even if you find a reasonable place to park your car here, if your headed to the beach you are then going to be surrounded all day by other families and way too much foot traffic.Read More
