This wedding was truly one of the most intimate and most touching ones I have ever done, and not just because of the sweet sentiments, the beautiful sights, and gorgeous people, but because of how connected I felt. She’s shot weddings with me before, and now the time came for me to shoot hers.

It's fun living in a small town and working with locals, because chances are you have crossed paths with them numerous times. I didn't grow up with either of them, but I met Mitch and Haley when they were dating and both working at a local restaurant that my wife and I went to pretty regularly. They became very close to us and it was a lot of fun to watch their relationship grow. Mitch even told me when he got the ring and planned to propose, so it's an honor to get to document their lives through my photos. We decided to take a stroll around The Market Common in Myrtle Beach for a few photos before their big day. Click through to see all the photos!Read More
I grew up in Conway, South Carolina and maybe it's just the southerner in me, but I love hometown church weddings. I find them so elegant and meaningful to the couple. It's pretty awesome to get married in the same church you grew up in. That was the case here for Tamara and Zach who had a beautiful June wedding with all of their friends and family.Read More

Nothing makes me happier than working with couples. I love to see people that love each other. I guess that's what makes me suited so well for my job! With this beautiful destination wedding, Shelly and James travelled with their family down from Michigan to enjoy the beautiful weather in Myrtle Beach for their nuptials. It was so much fun to see Shelly prepare with her family and even an impromptu footrace in her dress down the hall with her son! These are the types of moments I love to capture.

In a small beach town on the coast of South Carolina, a small but powerful thing was invented. Just a little jig that was referred to as "The Bop" or Swing or Jive that would eventually evolve into something of it's own. The Carolina Shag. A simple dance known for it's origins in the swing-time era but with a more relaxed feel. A more down to earth movement that could be done anywhere from sawdust covered floors of the local honky-tonks to the remnants of low tide right on the shore of the Grand Strand. Before the civil rights movement and integration of races in South Carolina, North Myrtle Beach was neighbored by Atlantic Beach where people of color were limited to enjoy the ocean with only about a half mile stretch of beach.Read More
Trisha + Pat, two newly engaged Myrtle Beach visitors, wanted their engagement photos to portray themselves in a place they enjoyed: the Market Common. This location has proven to be simple, yet diverse in all that it has to offer. Having little to no setup time, the Market Common is packed with photography gold, ranging from modern colorblocked walls to the natural serenity of Valor Park. On top of that, shots of warm brick, walls of ivy, column-and-lattice walkways, and flowing fountains offer stunning backdrops to couples of every kind, for any occasion. Located very near Surfside and Murrells Inlet, Trisha + Pat felt right at home in one of their favorite destinations nestled in the heart of the Grand Strand.Read More
